Haj, Hajj

One of the obligatory acts in Hajj and Umrah. Lexically it means circumambulation (walk all the way round) of Holy Kaba. It is sunnah of Hazrat Hajra, blessed wife of Hazrat Ibraheem and blessed mother of Hazrat Isma’eel (alaihi wa sallam) and over and above sunnah of our Holy Prophet (d.) too! Tavaf of any object or person other than the Holy Kaba is haram (unlawful, forbidden).
